Immigrants are entitled to municipal social and health services including services offered by shelters, if the residence permit for Finland is valid or has been valid for at least one year, the immigrant is registered in the population register of his or her domicile, and has been given a social security number and Kela-card.

Contact the social and health services of your area to find out what kind of help for domestic violence is available in your domicile. Customer service is usually provided in Finnish or with the help of an interpreter.
